It has been many years since I watched the movie DIVA, but I have always remembered the character Alba roller skating in a very cool industrial loft space. August 31, 2017 construction progress photo for a new 250-bed adult and 12-bed adolescent facility designed for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York and the New York State Office of Mental Health.   The ARIG tidbits was temporarily closed in 2013 after updating our website with a new template the post layouts were jumbled and not easily fixed.A short time later a good thing happened– we were selected for a number of interior planning and design projects.We have been working hard behind the scenes this year hoping to bring tidbits back.Some of the old content is back and will be joined with new content very soon!It’s a work in progress, so please be patient, we have many big ideas that we would love to share with you!

CHARLES POLLOCK 1930 – 2013 Very sad to read in the NY Times yesterday that Charles Pollock perished in a fire at his Queens studio on August 20, 2013. A talented, mid-century furniture designer and artist in the news more recently with the release of the newly designed CP chair commissioned by Bernhardt Design which was posted here last November. This is a video produced by Bernhardt Design last year that highlights his life and talent.

Save the Eames House

The Eames Foundation has launched a campaign to save and preserve the Eames House built approximately 70 years ago in the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, California. It is the former residence and studio of the iconic mid-century modern designers, Charles and Ray Eames. To raise funds, The Eames Foundation is offering limited edition prints reflecting the simplistic design style found in the architecture, furniture, photography and more created by this husband and wife team.
